>>>The year that was
Hi there
I love this time of year! I love the optimism for the year ahead, not to mention the feasting - of course as the Queen of Foodiness I’m a sucker for a festive feast or two, or three! Most of all, I love the opportunity for reflection that comes with the end of a year. This year, 2019, is particularly special as it is also the end of a decade.
This year in particular has been a huge one, personally and professionally. I’ve rebranded and repositioned my business as a holistic business coach to be more aligned to my values and purpose. I released a white paper and my newest eBook, launched last month, has already made an impact with women and their businesses. I’ve had a big year writing, having shared content via this blog and my mailing list with the aim of inspiring, educating and entertaining female entrepreneurs to reenergise their business and live a life they love.
It’s fitting to share some of my favourite blog posts from this year for you to enjoy over the summer break - I trust they’ll guide your 2020 planning to transform your business in the year and the decade ahead. Let’s jump straight in, shall we?
As you reflect upon the year past, it might be prudent to consider the roadblocks that have held you back. Awareness and clarity is the first step in overcoming the obstacles in the way of our vision.
One of the big barriers to female entrepreneurs thriving is poor nutrition. I truly believe that without good fuel, we simply don’t have the energy to thrive.
Do you ever feel like you’re rushing through your day, constantly busy, but not getting the big ticket items on your to-do list ticked off? Manage your time, and your business will thrive.
Any successful business has a strong sense of mission - who are you? What do you stand for?
One of the things I see holding women back is the incessant monkey chatter in their minds. It’s distracting, it’s diminishing and now is as good a time as any to send it packing!
Want to know the secret to a successful business? Your wish is my command…
Of course, we can’t go into a new year without setting some stretch goals for ourselves, but as you do so, I’d encourage you to set your goals with clarity about how you would like the year to unfold by keeping your sights on the end you have in mind.
Make a goal for the year ahead to incorporate self-care into your daily, weekly and monthly routines. Without good self-care practices, your professional potential will be impacted.
As you consider the year that’s almost past and the year to come, give some thought to the people in your network. Do you have a cheerleader? Someone who pushes you (respectfully) out of your comfort zone? Personally? This past year as my husband’s health issues have persisted, the circle of incredible, supportive people in my life have made a tumultuous year much less difficult.
Finally, and most essentially, as you reflect, do so with a spirit of gratitude. A gratitude practice is truly transformational.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a world of happiness and success, professionally, personally, all of the allys!
May 2020 be the year you step into your potential and thrive. Of course, as always, I’m here to help you reenergise your business and live a life you love. Is next year your year?
To your success….
